Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

The Essential Life Skills Starter is designed for teens ages 13-18, high school students preparing for graduation, and young adults who want a clear, practical foundation in real-world skills.

How will I receive my order?

It depends on the option you choose a checkout:

  • Free School Delivery: We coordinate with the school listed on your order to deliver gift bundles before graduation for easy distribution.

  • Local Pickup: You'll receive an email with pickup details once your order is ready.

  • Shipping: Domestic shipping available for an extra fee.

Is this a good graduation gift?

Yes. It's practical, meaningful, and far more useful than another gift card. It equips graduates with skills they'll use immediately.

Do you offer bulk pricing for schools or PTOs?

Yes. If you're ordering for a school, homeschool group, or organization, reach out for bulk pricing options.

Is this part of the full Next Level Academy course?

The Starter bundle covers foundational topics. The full course goes deeper with expanded lessons, bonus modules, and additional life skills training.

Are these workbooks or just informational?

They include clear explanations, real-world examples, and simple action steps. They're practical, not fluffy. The goal is understanding and confidence, not busywork.

Is this appropriate for middle school students?

Mature middle schoolers can benefit, but the content is best suited for high school students who are approaching real responsibilities like jobs, bank accounts, and important documents.

Can parents use this with their teen?

Absolutely. Many families use the guides as conversation starters. They're written clearly enough for teens to use independently but structured well for parent-teen discussions.

What if my teen already has a job or bank account?

That's great. These guides strengthen understanding and fill in the gaps most teens don't even realize they have. Even working teens often don't fully understand taxes, contracts, credit, or budgeting systems.

How is this different from what schools teach?

Most schools touch on theory. These guides focus on real-life application. What to actually do. What mistakes to avoid. What things mean in plain English.

What happens if this sells out?

You can join the waitlist for the next release, but graduation delivery cannot be guaranteed once inventory is gone.

What Parents Are Saying:

As a mother of four and a therapist who has worked with hundreds of teens and young adults, I highly recommend this collection to any parent seeking to help their teen or emerging adult navigate the transition to independence. This comprehensive set of five guides will equip your teen with essential adulting skills while boosting their confidence. The guides cover a wide range of practical topics, from completing paperwork, money management, and job skills to cooking and laundry, ensuring your teen is well prepared for the challenging daily life tasks of adulthood. Each guide is written in a succinct, clear, and accessible manner, making it easy for teens to digest and apply the strategies. These guides also serve as wonderful conversation starters for parents. You can use them to connect with your teen on a deeper level, transitioning into the role of a coach rather than a manager and caregiver. These tools can help build trust, encourage open communication, and nurture independence in a supportive way. While this complete collection offers a more holistic approach to teaching adulting skills, each guide is available separately, allowing you to focus on the areas where your teen may need the most support. Whether you're just beginning to prepare your teen for adulthood or looking for a resource to fill in gaps after you launch them, these guides are a practical and invaluable tool for parents!

This is such an incredible resource for teens or young adults! As a teacher, I absolutely love the format of each book within this compilation- a wealth of practical information worded in the briefest and clearest way. The job starter pack has samples that are incredibly helpful. I've been cooking for our family for years and learned from the cooking basics book. There are great charts in there! For each book, there are really thoughtful 'pro tips' and 'common mistakes '. I think the best feedback comes from my son who is taking an online personal finance class this year. He said the information in the Money Basics book was more complete and clearer than any of the modules in his class. He has read all of the books, and I have seen him step up with doing his own laundry and taking more of an interest in trying cooking. This is a great investment for any teenager or young adult seeking practical information for becoming more independent.
