Smart kids still get blindsided by adulthood

Most teens graduate knowing how to pass a test, but not how to read a lease, decode a pay stub, file taxes, or build credit. They learn it later, the expensive way: a surprise fee, a bad loan, a lease they didn't understand.

You can teach a lot of this yourself, and you should. But teens often tune out advice from home. Adulting in a Box gives them the same lessons from a teacher, in short on-screen lessons with downloadable tools and practice built in, so the conversation at your kitchen table finally sticks.

7 modules. Every major adulting skill.

Each module builds on the last and ends with a hands-on challenge, so your teen practices the skill instead of just watching it.

MODULE 1

Legalese Decoder

Leases, contracts, terms of service, and fine print, translated into plain English so they never sign something blind.

MODULE 2

Job Ready

Resumes, applications, interviews, and what employers actually expect once they're hired.

MODULE 3

Getting Paid

Reading a pay stub, filling out a W-4, setting up direct deposit, and figuring out where the rest of the paycheck went.

MODULE 4

Money Basics

Building a spending plan, banking, and saving. A budget isn't permission to spend. It's a plan for money you actually have.

MODULE 5

Taxes Without the Panic

What taxes pay for, when and how to file, and how to handle a simple return with confidence.

MODULE 6

Credit & Debt

How credit scores work, using a credit card the right way, and spotting the debt traps aimed at young adults.

MODULE 7

Living on Your Own

First apartment, utilities, and running a household, ending with the course-wide final challenge that puts every skill together.

A look inside

Every lesson comes with a printable tool your teen will actually use. Here are a few of them.

Built by a teacher who's watched this gap for 20 years

"I've taught for two decades and watched bright, capable students stumble after graduation, not because they weren't smart, but because nobody taught them the basics. Adulting in a Box is the course I wish every one of them had taken."

Questions parents ask

Who is Adulting in a Box for?

Teens and young adults, roughly ages 13 to 22, especially high schoolers getting ready to graduate, start a first job, or move out. Homeschool families use it as a life skills course.

How long does it take?

It's self-paced. A focused teen can finish in a few weeks; others take a module at a time over a semester. Access never expires, so there's no rush.

I have more than one teen. Do I need to buy it twice?

No. One enrollment covers your whole household for life.

Why pay for this when there's free info online?

The information isn't the hard part. Getting a teen to actually learn it in the right order, and practice it, is. This course is one clear path from first job to first apartment, with no piecing together random videos of mixed accuracy.

How is this different from your digital guides?

The digital guides are short reference books on single topics. Adulting in a Box is the full guided experience: step-by-step lessons, downloadable tools, practice challenges, and more topics, including legal fine print, paychecks, taxes, and credit.
